Storm Camp 2010...
 
Suspension filled the air. Anticipation and excitement levels rising as the days grew closer to Storm camp. The theme for camp this year was "Created for his cause". Whoever thought that a three day event could have a positive impact on the rest of your life.
 
As a first time Storm camper I had no idea what to expect. I had never heard of the event before and came so close to not attending at all. With abit of persuasion from other members of the church, I was influenced and I'm glad I chose to go.
 
Storm was incredible! Way more than what I expected. I met many amazing people, I was enriched with words of wisdom at all encounters by guest speakers Jessica Smith and Ben Manusama and I found myself drawing closer to God. I hungered for God, I wanted to know more and learn more about him. All of which I never thought I would long for whilst on this camp.
 
What I got from attending Storm, I can't thoroughly explain in words alone. I witnessed the lives of others change progressively, I witnessed a nation of believers coming together, a nation of brothers and sisters uniting to worship God. As each day passed, confidence levels began to rise, perspectives started to change and the greatest of all, youth members were giving their lives fully to God.
 
I felt as though I was on top of the world. Knowing that I was blessed, like so many, to be in the presence of God. I had never felt so strongly about God, so drawn to him till I went to Storm.
 
Since Storm camp my life has changed dramatically. Their have been various challenges and obstacles in my life which I have learnt to overcome differently. Although the challenges havn't been easy, I have reasurance in my heart that God will indeed be there by my side so that I wont have to face anything on my own. I value my faith alot more than what I did before I went to Storm.
 
Being at Storm camp was a life changing experience and has made an amazing impact on my life, so amazing I'm attending next years Storm camp without question.
